One year after he graced the cover of RESPECT magazine, J.Cole comes back for its three-year anniversary issue—darker and more introspective this time.
Cole strikes a salient pose on the cover of RESPECT magazine, as he gears up for his sophomore effort Born Sinner. Reportedly, the NC native revealed that the project may be delayed from its January 28th release as he simply wants to do more promotions and branding opportunities. Cole explained (via HNHH):
“In a perfect world I shoot for January 28th, but even when I released that, honestly I knew that was very far-fetched, very ambitious.
“There are certain things I wanna do promotion-wise, like we’re shooting a short film, there’s certain branding opportunities I wanna do with this, that I didn’t get to do on the last one.
“A short film, something way more expansive than a music video, shooting that in December.”
Wondering what Cole World has in store for us? The J. Cole issue of RESPECT hits newsstands on November 27.
